IS2 Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Service/Repair Assembler for our client in Cambridge, ON. This role involves the disassembly and assembly of power transmissions and their subassemblies, ensuring that all components meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disassembly:
  • Verify units against work orders and SRO numbers.
  • Disassemble units, inspect parts, and recommend replacements as needed.
  • Store and label disassembled parts in an orderly manner.
• Assembly:
  • Verify parts to parts lists and record serial numbers.
  • Clean, pre-assemble, and inspect components including torque arms, carriers, and housings.
  • Assemble internal and external gearing, lube systems, oil dams, and oil pipes into housings.
  • Set bearing endplays according to assembly protocols.
  • Perform final assembly of units, ensuring all parts fit and function correctly before testing.
  • Responsible for the overall correctness and quality of the completed gear unit.
• Additional Duties:
  • Remove scrap and refuse created during the assembly process.
  • Assist with setting up the completed units for testing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a power transmission or heavy equipment environment.
• Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly protocols.
• Experience with parts washing, presses, cranes, and forklifts is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team under supervision.

Pay Rate: $22 – $25/hr

Location: Cambridge, ON

Job Types: Temp to Perm

• Day Shift:
  • 7:00am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday (flexible schedule) Overtime may be required.
