IS2 Cambridge is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Associate to join a rapidly growing multi-trade construction company in Kitchener. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to become a key part of a dynamic team of approximately 180 employees. Key Responsibilities:
- Process and track weekly payroll hours for approximately 180 employees
- Input timesheet data and ensure timely submission and distribution
- Coordinate new employee hires and maintain accurate employee files
- Manage payroll processing and transmissions efficiently
- Scan and organize timesheets for archiving and future reference
- Collaborate with managers to ensure accurate payroll entries
- Maintain accurate union due entries and update apprentice contracts
- Process employee layoffs and submit Records of Employment (ROEs)
- Ensure compliance with payroll deadlines, including those around long weekends
- Maintain and update a travel cost spreadsheet
- Provide timely and accurate paystubs via email
Qualifications required:
- Experience with QuickBooks software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Previous experience with union payroll processing
- Experience with Telpay transmission is a plus
- Knowledge of the industrial trade and related payroll processes is an asset
Location: On-site, Kitchener,
Salary $28.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Shift Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
