Hours of Work per Week: 
Part-time: Up to 6 hours per week
Sessional: Up to 23 hours per week

Note: These are part-time temporary (up to 6 hours per week) or Sessional temporary (up to 23 hours per week) Faculty position.

The School of Public Safety is looking for qualified Part-time and Sessional Professors to teach courses in the Family Legal Services certificate program. A part-time Professor at Fanshawe College is responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective learning environment for students. While the program is delivered online, successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario. In your cover letter, please include your availability to teach Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.


GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
  • Excellent communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
  • Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
  • Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary 4-year university Law Program graduate degree
  • Master’s degree in a related field of study and/or B.Ed. or M.Ed. is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years’ recent, relevant experience in the area of Family Law
  • Membership in good standing with Law Society of Ontario is required (must provide LSO number)
