What You Bring to the Table:
- A Creative Mindset: You’re a designer who thinks outside the box, seeing solutions in places others might miss.
- Engineering Expertise: You understand mechanical design and detailing inside and out, and your design ideas are backed by technical know-how.
- Tool Mastery: You’re a pro with Inventor and AutoCAD 3D—building parts and assemblies is your playground. SolidWorks experience, would be beneficial.
- A Love for Manufacturing: Whether it’s structuring complex parts or selecting materials, you know the manufacturing world and how to make your designs come to life.
- Real-World Experience: You’ve got at least 4 years under your belt designing in a mechanical/industrial setting, ideally in a custom manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do:
Be the Visionary- Lead the charge in crafting fresh, boundary-pushing designs for custom furniture and shade structures.
- Bring your wildest ideas to life through 3D models and realistic renderings—your imagination is the limit.
- Reimagine existing products to elevate their aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturing potential.
- Collaborate in brainstorming sessions to create showstopping products and ideas that turn heads and challenge norms.
- Create detailed design plans for custom components and layouts, turning your visions into buildable blueprints.
- Design the mechanical bones of custom furniture and shade structures, ensuring form and function work in perfect harmony.
- Build precision mechanical drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD 3D, merging creativity with technical mastery.
- Work hand-in-hand with the production team to make sure our designs can be brought to life seamlessly.
- Collaborate with top-tier engineering firms to make sure every shade structure has rock-solid integrity.
- Select materials, create mechanical interfaces, and perfect each part to ensure smooth, efficient assembly.
- Be the design bridge between Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
- Serve as the voice of design for the Sales and Project Management teams, ensuring projects flow smoothly from concept to creation.
- Deliver the final product with precision, ensuring seamless hand-offs to the manufacturing team.
- Constantly innovate by investigating corrective actions for existing products.
- Dream up new design improvements that streamline production, cut costs, and create even better products.
- Keep a record of every design enhancement, ensuring your creations evolve as the company grows.
