Since 1949, TVCC has been working with children and youth to help them reach their full potential. Today, a wide range of services and supports are provided for young people with physical disabilities, communication disorders, developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders to support them in attaining the best available quality of life and health. In partnership with local and regional agencies, TVCC annually serves more than 11,000 children, youth and their families from birth to age 19 across Southwestern Ontario in over 700 locations.
We are seeking a strategic and innovative leader to join our team as Director, Clinical Services, Early Childhood, School Age and Adolescent Program. The successful individual will be responsible for the human, clinical, financial, operational, planning and development functions for a broad array of clinical services. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the success of our initiatives and helping to shape future programs and services. Leadership, innovative thinking, and excellent communication skills will be key to managing and inspiring a dedicated team.
This regular, full time position is expected to begin in April 2025. The designated office for this position is London.

Major Responsibilities include:
- Promote TVCC’s vision, mission and values, framework of service delivery, and philosophy of care within the organization and community.
- Provide program, organization, and system leadership, and lead the team to achieve high levels of service delivery, relationship management, and client satisfaction consistent with organizational Strategic Plan.
- Build capacity and responsiveness through staff engagement, innovation and partnership development.
- Develop and implement program planning; monitor programs and services to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead continuous improvement.
- Develop management objectives and annual budget plans aligned with client service delivery needs; provide comprehensive oversight of program initiatives, budget management, tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborate across clinical and corporate services, the leadership team, and with cross-functional teams to align client service initiatives and organization goals.
- Provide leadership for all aspects of human resource management and development for the program including motivating, coaching, facilitating, and mentoring team members.
- Ensure that team education and program-based research fosters staff growth and development and service excellence.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Coach, mentor, and support program Managers on implementing program initiatives and deliverables within the day-to-day provision of client services, methods of service delivery, and provision of team leadership and support.
- Develop, participate and advise in long term organization and program planning in collaboration with the CEO and TVCC Leadership team, and lead and participate in planning processes internal and external to the organization.
- Support program through change, conflict resolution and performance development processes.
- Manage operational and capital budgets with multiple funding sources.
- Foster and strengthen relationships with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, with a network of Children’s Treatment Centres, and with community partners and paediatric service organization, and participate in system advocacy.
- Lead the development of new and creative service delivery models to meet the changing needs of clients and families; develop and implement solutions to address deficiencies in client services and processes.
- Manage multiple clinical contracts with service provider agencies, including contract initiation, negotiation, approval, execution, communications, renewal and termination.
- Participate as an active member of the TVCC Leadership and Senior Leadership Team.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
- Minimum 4 year undergraduate degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences or Business Administration. Preferred advanced education/Master’s degree.
- Certificate in Leadership, Healthcare Management, or other relevant leadership training.
- Minimum of 5 years Leadership/Management experience including but not limited to program planning and evaluation, supervision, budget responsibility, and staffing.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience including motivating, coaching, facilitating, and mentoring team members.
- Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills including verbal and written communication, the ability to communicate complex messages with a relationship focused approach, and with strong listening and questioning skills.
- Demonstrated organizational competencies such as creative problem solving, strategic planning capacities, implementation skills, and critical thinking.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to approach issues from multiple perspectives, summarize data, draw conclusions, and provide organization and system focused solutions.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Life Needs Model and the Relationship-Centered approach for client service delivery.
- Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for healthcare transformation.
- Experience with data management, reporting, and electronic healthcare tools.
- Proficiency with computers, including MS Office Suite 365 and videoconferencing software (ex. Teams).
- Capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities, demands and stresses.
- Willingness for occasional travel within Southwestern Ontario, to support staff and client services in the geographical areas TVCC serves.
