Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. This is a 35-week contract position working a continental shift rotation (days, nights and weekend).
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical services to maintain safe and efficient operations to Brewery equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair Brewery equipment in fast paced environment to minimize downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment overhauls
- Install new equipment, if required
- Maintain all records / documentation and ensure completion of paperwork
- Diagnose and correct mechanical problems with Brewery equipment
- Rotational shift, including continental pattern and weekends, as assigned
Requirements:
- Must possess Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) License with Certificate of Apprenticeship + Refrigeration B ticket
- 3+ years of troubleshooting and repairing high speed packaging equipment as a Licensed Millwright
- In depth understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic functions
- Experienced in safe work practices: confined space entry, lockout / tagout, and hotwork
- Practical experience in basic welding, plumbing and machining
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Highly motivated and possess good interpersonal and communication skills to work in a team environment
- Basic keyboarding skill and familiar with MS Office package
- Adhere to the food safety required as per job duties and report non-conformities
- Experience in brewing, liquid filling, beverage or canning industry an asset
