TEMPORARY STUDENT SUPERVISOR

POSITION SUMMARY
The Student Supervision Support person provides supports to students who remain on the school grounds (indoor and outdoor locations) during nutritional breaks and throughout the day on a daily or supply basis. Students may have significant health/medical and/or behavioural needs and will be utilized to support classroom management during instructional time. The principal shall determine the time period during which the Student Supervision Support staff will be employed.  The successful candidate must be able to understand and respond to needs of diverse school communities.

 (Aldborough PS, Dunwich-Dutton PS, Ekcoe Central PS, Elgin Court PS, Forest Park PS,  JS Buchanan FI PS, John Wise PS, June Rose Callwood PS, Locke's PS, Mitchell Hepburn PS Mosa Central PS, New Sarum PS, Pierre Elliott Trudeau PS,Port Stanley PS, Southwold PS.West Elgin Sr. PS) 
RATE OF PAY: $24.75

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the safety and security of students.
  • Communicate with a diverse range of staff, students and guardians.
  • Supervise the disposal of lunch refuse in suitable containers and the general cleaning of the lunchroom areas.
  • Dealing with discipline problems in a manner prescribed by the principal and reporting significant disciplinary actions to the principal or designate.
  • Carrying out such supervision duties as the principal may assign.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Previous related work experience and French language is an asset.
