Grand Erie District School Board represents more than 28,000 students in 58 elementary schools and 14 secondary schools within the City of Brantford and the counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk, as well as students from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide expertise in the area of ABA instructional methods, conduct data driven functional behavior assessments as well as develop functional based behavior support plans and safety plans.  The candidate will monitor and interpret functional behavior interventions and data recording systems and work with other Grand Erie system staff to implement and release responsibility of a functional based behavior support plan to school staff.  This individual will complete risk assessments associated with active and possible Ministry of Labour work refusals as well as provide consultation and any necessary documentation in the development of Special Incidence Portion files.  The candidate will liaise between partners supporting the student as appropriate. The individual will also build capacity by offering professional development to school and system staff and participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field is required
  • Post-graduate level coursework in Applied Behaviour Analysis is required
  • Member of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) with a Certificate of Registration for a Behaviour Analyst Authorizing Autonomous Practice is required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the practice of behaviour analyst in an educational and/or clinical setting is required
  • Experience in assessing, understanding, and managing significant behaviours is preferred.
 
Job Specifications
Hours of Work 7 hours per day/35 hours per week
Rate of Pay $82,455 to $91,858 hiring range
$82,455 to $96,562 salary range
