Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide clinical supervision to Communicative Disorders Assistants (CDA) in accordance with CASLPO guidelines. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are a resource to schools who work to enhance communication opportunities and support the development of communication skills through consultation, assessment and/or intervention with students, teachers, and families.  The individual will consult and collaborate with school personnel, community service providers and parents within a tiered approach to intervention and participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.  In addition, make recommendations about the use of communication equipment and other programming to enhance the development of communication skills for all learners.  

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Pathology is required
  • Verification of post-secondary education (diploma/degree or original transcript) will be required
  • Registration in the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) is mandatory
  • Experience in an educational system is preferred
  • Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license is required
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers including digital assessment practices
  • Must be knowledgeable about a tiered approach to intervention
  • Demonstrated success working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience in a publicly funded school board an asset
 
Job Specifications
Hours of Work 17.5 hours per week
Rate of Pay $41,227 to $48.281 annual salary
$41,227 to $45,929 starting salary
A competitive benefits plan is available through a provincial benefits trust plan
Effective Date ASAP to June 30, 2025 (or return of the current incumbent, whichever comes first)
