Job Description
The Greater London International Airport Authority is Southwestern Ontario’s 'easy and comfortable' airport known for exceptional and friendly service. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Human Resources, this is an exciting full time, permanent opportunity for an accountant looking for a breadth of responsibilities in a NFP environment. Successful candidate will be expected to work independently and flexible in their overall responsibilities and grow with the position.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Accounts Receivable and Billing
Issue invoices weekly or as required.
Transaction input into both billing system (Aileron) as well as accounting system
Maintain customer database, both in Aileron and accounting system
Review of lease documentation and issuance of lease invoices monthly
Maintain concession reports and monthly issuance of related invoices.
Responsible for account collections and tracking of bad debt.
Maintain all files in respect to accounts receivable.
Reconciliation of all payments received and application to invoices.
Fixed Assets
Responsibility for the maintenance of the fixed assets database
Calculate and enter monthly amortization.
Setup and monitor new asset additions and disposals.
Reconciliation of fixed assets values to the GL.
Periodic inventory and review of existing assets to ensure accuracy.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
Month end support (update worksheets, prepare recurring journals, etc)
Preparation of all bank deposits
Assistance with Accounts payable invoice entry
Office supplies ordering and control
Backup training of payroll function.
Assistance with year-end audit work
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
College or University completion in a Business Accounting program and current enrolment in the CPA program.
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a computerized financial environment with knowledge of Accounts receivable.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Office. Previous experience in Aileron a definite advantage.
Work is typical weekday office hours and 37.5 hours per week. Salary range is $45,000 - $55,000 per annum and will be commensurate with experience. We offer an excellent benefits package, including pension, as well and a flexible, in office, work schedule.
