Job Description

Grand Erie District School Board represents more than 28,000 students in 58 elementary schools and 14 secondary schools within the City of Brantford and the counties of Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk, as well as students from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the office of the Supervisor of Business Services, the student will work with the Business Services team to provide support to the accounts payable department. The incumbent will gain experience in the various stages of processing invoices for payment, assist with vendor reconciliations and provide occasional relief at reception. The successful candidate will assist with various special projects and have the opportunity to support various roles while staff are on  vacation.

Qualifications:
  • College or University student currently enrolled in an Accounting or Business related program is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
 
Job Specifications
Hours of Work 35 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
Rate of Pay $17.20 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
Effective Date May 1, 2025 – August 31, 2025
