Position Summary:
Working in the Corporate Communications and Media Relations Branch at the London Police Service (LPS), the Digital Content Coordinator supports the development and execution of customized and innovative communication plans through the creation of original video, graphic artwork, print layout design and multimedia presentations, as well as social media content.

Position Summary:
Working in the Corporate Communications and Media Relations Branch at the London Police Service (LPS), the Digital Content Coordinator supports the development and execution of customized and innovative communication plans through the creation of original video, graphic artwork, print layout design and multimedia presentations, as well as social media content.
Responsibilities Service on Description
- Plan, develop, and manage video and multi-media projects for the London Police Service (LPS).
- Create and coordinate schedules, location set-up, set design, graphic preparation, and filming.
- Participate in Corporate Communications projects in the design and development of communications plans.
- Translate strategies into multi-media presentations, graphic design elements, and video.
- Create proposals, scripts and storyboards.
- Attend special events to capture video/photography and incorporate content into multimedia platforms.
- Coordinate large-scale video/multi-media projects with external vendors to ensure a professional product is received in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Research, source, and recommend the purchase of equipment for use by the Corporate Communications and Media Relations Branch, including high-end videography equipment.
- Coordinate and support live events, such as online streaming of press conferences.
- Other duties as assigned within the core competencies.
- 1-2 year Diploma/Certificate in Broadcasting, Digital Media Production, Audio Visual Arts, or equivalent.
- 2-3 years’ experience in video production including storyboarding, filming and editing, as well as some graphic design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and judgement required for decisions that usually involve selecting from one of several optimal or existing set of solutions or protocols.
- Strong communication skills required for contacts throughout organization primarily at management and senior levels to give, obtain and/or exchange routine information or decisions requiring general discussion.
