Early Childhood Educator – 10 month position
LOCATION: Zorra Highland Park Public School, Embro, ON.
RATE OF PAY: $25.80 - $32.80
HOURS OF WORK: Seven (7) hours per day Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00p.m.
Start Date: Immediate

Position Summary:
In collaboration with the Kindergarten Teacher, the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that reflect an understanding of the continuum of development for 4 and 5 year olds, for the Kindergarten program. Together with the Kindergarten Teacher, the ECE will observe, monitor and assess the development of the children. The successful candidate, along with the Kindergarten Teacher, will promote and maintain a healthy physical, emotional and social learning environment. Responsibilities may also include maintaining children’s records and providing opportunities for communication with families in the event an extended day program is implemented.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must possess a completed two (2) year ECE College Diploma or completed ECE Fast Track Diploma with proof of prior completed post-secondary Diploma or equivalent Degree program with a specialization in early childhood studies (as recognized by the College of Early Childhood Educators):
Prior to an offer of employment a criminal background check for work with vulnerable persons will be required.
