Quality Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our team to ensure the quality and safety of our custom machinery and material conveyance equipment for the food, pharmaceutical and agricultural industry. As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures for the Tri-Mach group of companies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and production processes. It is crucial that the Quality Manager promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all quality team personnel in the execution of their daily duties.
  • Collaborate with department leaders across all Business Units to ensure the successful implementation and execution of all quality inspections, requirements, and processes.
  • Design and conduct audits to assess quality system effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead the Quality Improvement Process by investigating root causes of all quality issues and coordinating the implementation or corrective actions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design and audit quality processes and procedures to ensure compliance all regulatory and company standards.
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments and manage supplier relationships to ensure product/service quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Managers to solve customer challenges or issues as they arise
  • Act as the point of contact for all quality related issues, projects, or initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and training on quality principles and practices to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Prepare and present quality and project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product/service quality.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, production, project management, and field service teams to resolve customer complaints and implement corrective actions for product non-conformances.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company's quality management system remains compliant and effective.
  • Develop, implement, and report quality metrics to monitor and continuously improve product and process quality.
  • Lead and/or support the implementation, maintenance, and expansion of quality systems in all Tri-Mach facilities.
  • Department staffing, administration, budgets, training, mentoring, and employee onboarding.
  • Participate in weekly production meetings to provide project status updates to all internal stakeholders
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and company sponsored events
  • Travel to customer sites to address quality issues and attend customer meetings as required
  • Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship.
  • In accordance with company policy/ESA; overtime, work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (Engineering, Quality Management, etc.).
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or management role with direct reports.
  • 5+ years in custom design and build of industrial equipment, material handling, and automation.
  • Knowledge of quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in quality management tools and software.
  • Experience in leading quality audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications, such as Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
